Our History
How it all began
Sole e Gusto is a family business from Lyss with deep roots in Apulia, Italy. It all began in 1945, when Nonna Anna spontaneously opened a small restaurant in her garage in Monopoli. Her passion for good, honest food and love for natural ingredients became the foundation of our philosophy.

In 2011, we founded sole e gusto GmbH with the goal of bringing the authentic taste of Italy to Switzerland. Today, we continue our family tradition with heart and responsibility, connecting generations, cultures, and people through the joy of genuine taste.

Monopoly
Monopoli is the sunny port city on the Adriatic coast of Apulia where our roots lie. This is where our passion for good food and a simple life in rhythm with nature began.
This connection between Monopoli and Lyss is more than just a partnership for us. It is part of our identity and represents the bridge between Italian zest for life and Swiss quality, between tradition and innovation.

Our Mission
We want to supply Switzerland with authentic Italian food products that are sustainably, ecologically, and fairly produced. Biodiversity plays a central role in everything we do.
We produce olive oil, pasta, antipasti, spices, cantuccini, wine, and many other specialties. All our products are organic, vegan, and free from artificial additives or preservatives. For us, quality means pure taste, just like at Nonna Anna’s home.
